More Animations.

Just some rough sketches.

1. The fighting knight. This one is from "The White Company". There are many battle scenes in this adventure and I need fighting knights, highlanders and monsters. I'll show them later. Ok, this is only an animated skeleton. At first I make his movement and then I can draw and colour him.


2. Pofiger's soldier kung-fu. Ku-i-i-i-a! It is not enough to make him shooting his gun. He also needs some running and jumping. May be even some swordplay...

Computer Games

There was a time, we hadn't any computer games at all. 8-o There were some gaming machines in the toy stores and cinemas. Just drop a coin and you can shoot some ducks or sink some ships. Usually without computer graphics - mechanic only. About 1987 I've played my first real computer game. It was Digger. I played it on an computer exhibition on some kind of IBM PC-XT. Nothing spectacular but even now I remember: arrow keys to move, F1 - to shoot. :)
Since I hadn't any computer at home, I couldn't try to make my own games. But I've got my calculator! It had the possibility to make 105 steps long programs, but no graphic screen. The screen looks so: [88888888,88] and if you make a game, you have to imagine your graphics, since you've get only the numbers, or make something like that: [-3-1-,-8,__]. 3 is the enemy, 1 is the door and 8 is the hero. Cool, doesn't it... :)
After that I had my ZX-Spectrum. It was cool! Thank you Sir Clive Sinclair! Together with my friends I made some games. For example "Monopoly". The games were sometimes lame, but we had our fun. :) We were also making RPG game about the Wizard of Oz. The picture right is not a screenshot but it was something like that. If I'll find our sketches, I'll show more later.
Then comes PC. I don't know why but our group didn't even start to make a game for PC. We had some ideas, we made some sketches, we spoke about making a game but we didn't make any. Instead of this we were making our own Pen&Paper RPG and tabletop wargames. But now, more than than ten years later, we are started to make a game. It is a mix of RPG and adventure game. We are using AGS engine, so it will be 2d graphic. The theme is "The White Company". I'll tell more about it later... :)

Animations...

It is strange, but I can't upload animated GIFs as usual. This Blog makes *.PNGs of them. ( --)//~
I have nothing against PNG format, but it seems, that nobody knows how to make them animated. <^_^; I have to post my images on imageshark. Ok. Let's post. Here are two short animations. Just two rough sketches I made.

1. One of the Cpt. Pofiger's soldiers. We wanted to make an animated film about them in 1992. We had an old 2x8mm camera (colour but no sound), because using video was not cool. Since we have a LOT of pictures, there is no film till now. But may be I'll make something later.

2. I think, I saw to many samurai films (films and animes) last time. I also saw "Yojimbo". (((o(^¡^")o))) Finally! It is simple genius! Now I'm looking for "Hidden fortress". Last time I saw this film, there were no translation at all! It's pity but: w(^o^)W oo—Watashi Nihongo Hanase mase--n. I mean, it must be translated. So I wanted to make some Samurai fight. Here are some frames from the starting sequence. May be I'll make more later.

Some old stuff (miniatures)...

Some figures I made. I always wanted to show them. ;)

1. The monk (15mm). He is already 3 years old. Made by me (I used FIMO), painted by Elhena. May be he isn't perfect by I like him. He is cute. :)

2. I made this pirate woman after the monk. I just wanted to make some really small figures. (She is 15mm to.) There is no ruler on the picture but you can trust me.

3. This one is bigger (28mm). I wanted to make a character for roleplay game we played. I used Green Stuff to make him and I even painted him by myself (ok, I'm not so good like Elhena).

4. The death knight (28mm). I'm really proud of this one. May be he isn't the best figure I made, but he has something... I used Milliput and Green Stuff and casted him in tin, so I have more than one copy. I painted him with NMM (I didn't use any metallic paints on him).

5. The naked female wypr rider (28mm). I don't know, who she is. I just wanted to make a rider for Wypr. There were already some knights or barbarians, so I wanted to make something special. I used FIMO.

6. This knight is about 1 y.o. I used Green Stuff. Since he is a little bit bigger than I needed (30mm), I didn't make any copies. Instead that, I painted the green using NMM.
